A letter to The Guardian, unpublished

Looking at all the news stories from January on the Guardian website tagged as ‘local government‘, the majority of them are about London alone. All the rest of the country’s local government added together gets fewer stories. Even to this Londoner the message seems quite clear: could you spend a little more time outside the capital?
