Political activists have been busy doing one of the least glamorous parts of politics
Rushing round collecting signatures on election nomination papers is one of the most important (no signature = no candidate) and least glamorous (rain plus dog plus puddle plus cold plus broken pen) parts of politics for activists.
It’s also the sort of task which usually only gets noticed when it goes wrong. So in as much as a virtual thank you from someone you’ve never met* means anything – thank you.
Running more local election candidates is an important part of the Liberal Democrat rebuilding. Without the hard work gathering nomination signatures, it can’t happen.
* Which, lucky you, also means you therefore have escaped having a book touted at you in person.
