The Local Government Ombudsman’s data are about complaints relating to local authorities, the following table showing the 20 councils with the highest number of complaints in 2011.

  • Lambeth London Borough 186
  • Leeds City Council 176
  • Cornwall Council 148
  • Kent County Council 143
  • Haringey London Borough 135
  • Camden London Borough 133
  • Croydon London Borough 121

[…] These figures, in part, will reflect the larger resident populations in the local authority area; for example, the population of Birmingham is four times the size of Brighton and Hove.
