That Labour 50p vote explained in one simple graph
I trust this settles any confusion over the Labour Party, the 50 pence top rate of income tax and the truth:
Forget the heated rhetoric: Labour didn’t oppose cutting the 50p rate when they had the chance in the House of Commons.

You forgot the graph that shows "Number of Ed Balls – 1"…. "Number of Ed Balls that turned up to vote – 0".

@erikgeddes this handy graph explains their position http://t.co/qbKnBdPX sadly doesn't note that all #snp MPs voted against it #labourfail

HAHAHAHA………….. nice one. I still can't understand why anyone would EVER vote for Labour after the crap hole they turn this country into every single time they get back into power. One day the other parties will just say "F*ck it, you fix your own mess this time!"
You are right – Labour are no better than the Lib Dems.

I take it the 'we' was a 'Royal' we by Balls Up?
But 40% or so of the voters would STILL vote for them.
hmmmmmmm
Only 2 Labour MP's vote against 45p top tax rate. Lab now trying to cover tracks with a hurried vote net week. Shambles http://t.co/ibhrsXtj

Good one from Mark Pack.
Of course, if the parties which proposed the vote wanted MPs to actually vote for it, they would a) hold when as many MPs who might vote for it were in the house, and b) tell people about it. The possibility that it was done merely as a trick to catch out Labour is neither here nor there.
@Stifanovich : btw how many Labour mps voted to retain the 50% tax rate? It tells you here (if you can bear the truth) http://t.co/EYSHbIhY
:O)

Excellent graph showing how committed Labour is to the 50% tax cut. Look @ how many Labour MPs voted against cut- ZERO: http://t.co/0dtUzjrt
How many exactly voted against this? It looks like something between 2-5! Excellent graph
2: Dennis Skinner and Paul Flynn
Can you add the date that the vote took place please?
