Having picked up on Twitter and elsewhere a few further examples of new school playing fields which have been created in the last few years (and so which count towards offsetting those sold off), here for my future reference and your possible interest they are:
West Thurrock Primary School
@markpack yup, they gained an all weather netball court, too.

Gateway Academy, Tilbury
@markpack old school St Chads in Tilbury, new school is Gateway Academy just outside Tilbury

Two school playing fields in Birmingham
See Martin Mullaney’s blog post
@markpack the pitches were laid out in Sept 2011. They will be ready to play on in Summer 2013.

Highwood Primary School
As the school’s site explains, its playing fields have been built on in order to provide a new building. However in return the old building gets demolished and turns into new playing fields.
Unnamed secondary school
Good question by Mark Pack @markpackbit.ly/N8qO8oat one of my schools, it’s one field sold, one field bought. New is bigger, too.
