Two good results (from my perspective!) today.
First, in Liberal Democrats news I was elected to the Federal Policy Committee, being the fifth person elected in the count after Chris Rennard, Evan Harris, Duncan Brack and Lucy Care.
Second, in Unlock Democracy news – what got christened the “Carrigan-Pack” motion at its AGM to improve its internal election rules generated quite a lively debate, both over procedure and principle. However, the votes were won by a comfortable margin: 50-16 on the vote that required a simple majority and 55-15 on the vote that required a two-thirds majority.
Thank you one and all, especially the select group who voted on both!
