Ad Lib: how to get the new Liberal Democrat magazine
December 3rd sees the first edition of Ad Lib, the new monthly magazine for Liberal Democrats, replacing the party’s weekly newspaper Liberal Democrat News.
Existing subscribers to Lib Dem News are having their subscriptions carried over. New people can sign up for 12 editions for £50, or a discounted rate of £35 for party members – to get the latter you can join the party here).
Can’t wait for the first edition to appear? Check out Ad Lib on Facebook or Twitter.
Now for the big debate. Ad Lib? AD LIB? AdLib? ADLIB? But please not AdLIB.
I think there should be a mid-rate, say £40 for local party deliverers. These people are very important supporters and likely to replace our conventional membership base. They should be respected and given the option to stay in touch with the party, especially at a national level.
That would be £3.33 per monthly magazine which I think considering it will have a foodie section and possibly some more cultural aspects as well, should be very interesting for deliverer supporters. 🙂
Have a think about this Phil Reilly? 🙂
That would be very difficult to implement!
I know it would. They'd have to be vouched for by local parties and you could get some people just giving deliverer discounts out to others.
What we can't get away from is the change in our support base and we need to respond to this on many different levels.
