Friends, Followers and Connections: Voters in the Age of Social Media
That’s the title of a Lib Dem spring conference fringe meeting organised by Tom Brake, MP and Facebook expert, which I’m taking part in on Friday.
Here’s the blurb from Tom:
At Spring Conference this year, I’ll be hosting a Fringe event sponsored and supported by social media giant Facebook, with a specially invited panel of guests including Paddy Ashdown, Campaign Chair; Mark Pack, former Lib Dem Head of Innovation; Rob Blackie from Blue State Digital; Steve Pitman, the newly appointed Lib Dem Digital Director and Facebook’s own Policy Director for the UK & Ireland, Simon Milner.
Join us in the Balmoral Room as we take a look at how social media has transformed the role of MPs across the political divide, and discuss how best to harness digital platforms at the next General Election.
Send you questions to me via Facebook www.facebook.com/brake or Twitter twitter.com/thomasbrake.
Friday, 8 March 2013, 20:15 until 21:30
It’s not in the conference agenda right?
Though it conflicts with the awards fringe. They have drinks! LOL
