I’m quietly confident that my forthcoming book – How To Eat A Bone: Modern Bowl Manners for the Modern Dog – will be one of the surprise hits of the Christmas book season.
Bone eating is coming back into fashion amongst us four-legged fellers. We’re more and more turning away from the fast-food, over-processed, tinned and bland dog food of the 1990s. Now people want fresh, organic and additive-free meals.
For many dogs though it is so long since they last had a bone, that they don’t know how to chew and eat it neatly. And let’s face it – a slurping dog drooling over a bone really isn’t a pleasant sight. Saliva should stay where it comes from – in the mouth.
The manuscript is coming along well. Only another 72 chapters to write.
