As the Social Media ’09 conference before Christmas, I talked about the revamping of Liberal Democrat MP Lynne Featherstone’s website which I was involved in last year. Comparing Lynne’s very first website from 1999 (hand written flat file HTML) with her current site (database driven WordPress site), it’s not just the look but also the technologies which have changed hugely in that decade.
You can now watch an edited version of my talk over on the Social Media ’09 site, with a fuller transcript on the site below the clip and my slides are here.
(Memo to self after watching clip: unless you are touring a hospital ward, you don’t make much eye contact with people by looking down towards the floor.)
