I have of course been to the boxiest Pizza Express in London many times before, but not since I started my (very slow) journey round them all. So yesterday it was Pizza Express Millbank.

It’s square. It’s rectangular. It’s a box. What else is there to say? Other than it has probably the widest corridors leading to the toilets of any London Pizza Express and just what is that hanging on the wall above the oven? It looks as if someone on a very home-made broomstick crash-landed in a waste paper bin and the results have been hung on the wall. Odd and yet also rather attractive.
Aside from the corridor width, crash-landed broomstick and boxiness, Millbank Pizza Express’s other claim to fame is the speed of the serving staff. Helped no doubt by its location (near lots of offices where people want quick service when they pop out for a meal), this is one branch where the service keeps on being swift all the way through.
Oh yes and the pizza is great.
Anyway, that’s 8 down and 120 to go.

Agreed about the speed of service. I has a thing I needed to go to in Millbank Tower the other week but had not managed to get anything to eat and only had about 12 minutes to spare. I was seated, served, scoffed and scarpered within about 10. Very impressive.
Although to be fair there were only 2 other tables with anyone on them at the time I was there but still.
Good luck with the remaining 112!
