I've got a few blogs on my "would like to follow in my feed reader, but there are just too many posts" list. The blogs are mostly full of fun or interesting posts; reading them all is too much, never reading them is being a bit too puritanical with my time. What I'd really like to do is to subscribe to a feed that only includes, say, 1 in 10 of the original posts.

So, what's the best way to do this?

My first thought was combine them all (using Yahoo Pipes?) and then just not feel guilty about marking all as read in feed reader after skimming through and picking out any interesting posts.

However, to get 1 in 10 - do you mean a random 10%? Instead, would it be worth applying some form of social/peer selection process to these blogs to get the more interesting/useful posts? Perhaps setting up a search on delicious or bitly as to which posts are bookmarked/shared? May take a bit of maintenance though...

I'd be happy with a random 1 in 10. One blog, for example, is of amusing silly official signs. A few of them - funny. Lots of them - too much.
