I've blogged before about how few local councils in Britain provide RSS feeds from their main website. Adrian Short has got a good recent post listing some of the ways that such RSS feeds could be used - and so what those councils are missing out on. Do go and take a read.
A computer thinks the following may also be of interest:
- It’s better by blog: why councils should embrace blogging
- The biggest mistake councils made with online engagement
- New figures show over a third of councils are failing in the fight against electoral fraud
- Winterval: the Christian media has more questions to answer than local councils
- Council website spending put under scrutiny
Thanks for the link, Mark.
I've just done a WordPress sidebar widget plugin for Barcode Posters so blog readers can easily print a blog as a poster with a single click.
I know many councillors use WordPress for their blogs. I'd be interested to know how many councils use it for (parts of) their official sites.
Nice plugin. Hope it gets decent take-up.
