Three more versions of Lib Dem manifesto front page released
As I mentioned this morning when looking at the details (and some of the controversies) behind the front page of the Liberal Democrat general election manifesto, separate Scottish and Welsh versions have also been produced reflecting the devolved situation in each country. That’s particularly important given the prominence given to devolved issues such as education in the party’s overall pitch.
Wales
For Wales the main difference is that rather than the Green Laws featuring, Home Rule does. There is also a change in the wording of the health and education policies:
You can read Kirsty Williams’s speech about it here.
Scotland
Meanwhile in Scotland, Home Rule features too and the education policy stays, but is slightly changed:
You can read Willie Rennie’s speech about it here.
And the fourth version…
With the first version this morning plus Scotland and Wales that makes for three front pages.
And the fourth…?
That’s a revised version of this morning’s front page, with the Weirdly Inconsistent use of Capital letters Some Of the time But Not all the Time fixed.
Having been the main complainer about it, I’m banking that one as my big manifesto victory…
