New rules make it easier to change your name on electoral register

Now in force, the Representation of the People (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2015 have removed the requirement to cite specific forms of evidence to prove a change of name in order to get your name changed on the electoral register. Rather, Electoral Returning Officers (EROs) now have the flexibility to accept any documentary evidence.
