Electoral Commission turns to Gogglebox to mobilise voters

It’ll be instructive to see how this approach works. In theory, it looks solid. Raising turnout isn’t about appealing to people already interested in politics and committed to democracy. It’s about reaching a different audience, one which often pays only very brief attention to politics. Gogglebox could be a very effective route to doing just that.
