And lo: there is some tax policy to debate in the Lib Dem leadership contest

First we had Tim Farron ending his support of a 50p top rate of income tax. Now we’ve had this from Norman Lamb, which I think he’s said before but has gone rather unremarked given it means moving on from what was a totemic policy in the last Parliament:

Ironically, given that Norman Lamb was a minister 2010-15 but Tim Farron wasn’t, it looks to be Norman Lamb who wants to change the party’s approach more.
