Councillor suspended over claims he used school children with special needs to deliver election leaflets

Incredible:

A Wirral councillor has been suspended from the Labour party after allegedly using children from a special school to deliver election leaflets.

Bidston and St James councillor Jim Crabtree was suspended this week, the party said, following complaints against him…

Cllr Crabtree is accused of using his position as a tutor who was teaching gardening skills to children from Meadowside special school in Woodchurch to have a group of pupils deliver party leaflets in the run-up to the General and local elections in May.
