Been texted by 07867 396 883? Steer clear and lodge a complaint

Another day, another dodgy SMS on my mobile. This time it was from 07867 396 883 and claimed to offer help for claiming money from banks.

But it was dodgy for two reasons, both of which are requirements for marketing text messages. It didn’t say who it was from and it was sent unsolicited.

So if you get a text message from 07867 396 883, ignore it. Ignore it, that is, except for one thing.

It’s always a good move to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner here. The regulator can move a little slowly, but movement happens when there are lots of complaints.
