Why is a classic US campaign tactic failing against Donald Trump?

The Atlantic takes a look at why the massive wave of anti-Trump TV adverts don’t seem to be denting his chances of winning the Republican nomination for the 2016 US Presidential election.

Part of the answer, of course, is that Trump can match the political ads against him with his massive success at generating coverage via social media, especially Twitter. But it’s not the whole story, as the piece examines.
