Although this story dates from 2010, it’s been a regular issue in Moscow as the news stories from variously 2006 and 2012 illustrate. There is even a Society of Blue Buckets protest movement.

Not many Liberal Democrat campaigns include two blue buckets, and more is the shame. As with imaginative photos of potholes, there’s a lot of extra mileage from thinking of campaigning as something more than ‘drop a story in a Focus leaflet, briefly run a petition which no-one ever presents and send a tweet’.
