Been texted by 07790 397 798 / 121helpuk.com? Best to keep clear
Another day, another dodgy text message on my mobile. Today the culprit was 07790 397 798 / 121helpuk.com who texted me despite not having permission to do so.
The subject? One of the classics of dodgy marketing: supposed help with debt relief. It came complete with the range of typos that look like remarkably sloppy copy checking, but are often in there either to try to help the message slip past spam filters or for cunning audience selection reasons.
If you receive such as message, it’s always a good move to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner here. The regulator can move a little slowly, but movement happens when there are lots of complaints. It’s also worth reporting the spam to your mobile phone network.
