I may have fixated on the wrong things at the Mail Rail Ride

The newly opened Mail Rail Ride in London is great. You get to spend about 20 minutes travelling on the old underground mail trains which used to speed the post around central London. There are also two fab museums, one each on either side of the road.

But for my money, the bank note information and fire extinguisher display stole the show:

Bank notes information Fire extinguisher at the Postal Museum - London
Fire extinguisher at the Mail Rail Ride - Postal Museum - London
Inside the tunnels on the Mail Rail Ride - Postal Museum - London

No information that I saw about whether or not it’s true that it is against the law to stick a postage stamp on upside down. But luckily, I already had a blog post on that.

  1. I think Mail Rail could be ambiguous…..so could Rail Mail I suppose but to my ear
it sounds less like something promoted by the foulest of tabloids

    • I should have said something about the fire extinguisher too but to be honest I can’t think what to say…who would deliberately get in the way of fire safety? Oh…….
