Ad Lib magazine for party members launched in a new format

Following its demise as a paid-for magazine, Ad Lib – the successor to Liberal Democrat News – has lived on in a relatively low-key way as the brand name for occasional information for Liberal Democrat members, such as through blog posts on the party website.*

But it’s now back as a magazine, in a new electronic format (and good to see that my bit-party in matchmaking the providers of the technology with the right people at HQ has ended up being useful – a reminder of the importance of such matchmaking).

Front cover of Ad Lib - December 2018The first edition of the new Ad Lib, out this week and emailed to party members, uses only a taster of what the technology is capable of. So as well as there being likely a few technical issues to shake down,** watch out for more to come with future editions. The plan is also to start doing a print run for members for whom the party does not have a working email address, budgets permitting.

If you didn’t get the email, you can view the Ad Lib magazine here.

It includes amongst other stories ones on housing, the party’s new messaging, how liberal campaigning can change society for the better and what it’s like being selected in a target Parliamentary seat.

And if you didn’t get the email but think you should have, then best to pop an email to help@libdems.org.uk so they can check what’s up with your email data.

* These are included in the email round-up of Liberal Democrat stories I manage. You can sign up for them here.

** If you spot any, do email details through to membership@libdems.org.uk, including details of who you were viewing the magazine (e.g. ‘using Chrome on Windows 10’) and, if applicable, a screenshot.
