Why Liberal Democrats should get to Peterborough

I was off burning the Christmas chocolate calories in Peterborough today. Here’s why other Liberal Democrats should head there too if you haven’t yet, especially if, like me, you live in London:

(And with apologies to Caron for the slip of the tongue at the start…!)

As I mention in the video, the local party has council elections in May. So even if a Parliamentary by-election does not happen despite the conviction of the MP, you’ll still be helping a growing local party which has had increasing electoral success (up one in May, taking a seat off Labour) and also has picked up a former Liberal councillor.

Campaign events in the constituency are listed on the party website.

The Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) is Beki Sellick.

Peterborough is the home town of Peter Boizot, who passed away recently and played a key unheralded role in the development of the Liberal Democrats.
