Meet just some of those switching to the Lib Dems for the European elections

Here are just a few of the human stories behind the Liberal Democrat rise in the polls for the European elections as Conservative and Labour support collapses:
Marie-Anne Varela tweets about switching to the Lib Dems and praising Vince Cable

Jane tweets about voting Lib Dem after 30 years voting Labour

Emma Kennedy and Mark McAndrew tweet about voting Lib Dem in the Euros

Katy Brand and Noelle Moysi tweet about voting Lib Dem

And there’s more, many more…

  1. Previously voted Conservative…..but swore never to vote for them a couple of years ago. Can’t faceLabour at the moment I’m afraid…..LD has always sounded good….so they’ll get my vote again….and again!

  2. No Labour stakeboards or posters and no Labour canvassers and activists to be seen on the doorsteps or anywhere in Haringey (Hornsey & Wood Green and Tottenham constituencies), one of the strongest remain boroughs in the country. Just Lib Dems holding stalls in high streets, knocking on doors every day and leafleting like mad with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd leaflet in two weeks (on top of the postal ones) asking for votes to help stop Brexit.
I don’t know about elsewhere, but Haringey Labour is most definitely not a remain party. They have been for years turning up with their stalls and leaflets in regular spots every Saturday, rain or shine. And now at a crucial time for “our NHS” and all other public services, they’ve retreated without a fight, vanished without a trace. Despite the fact that one of the local Labour MPs, Catherine West, is a President of London4Europe campaign. It seems, she has been unable to get her Labour activists to campaign in the constituency. Was it their cowardice? Or her lack of trying? Or the iron fist of comrade Corbyn?…
