Renew Party backs Lib Dems in Boris Johnson’s constituency
The Renew Party has decided to back Elizabeth Evenden-Kenyon, the Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Boris Johnson’s constituency of Uxbridge and South Ruislip.
It follows their decision to back Jane Dodds in the Brecon and Radnorshire by-election.
Julie Girling, Renew’s interim leader, is the former Conservative MEP who urged votes for the Lib Dems in the European election.

Can someone please convince me that we LDs have the remotest chance of unseating johnson? And that a vigorous LibDem Campaign in Uxbridge can do anything other than split the antijohnson vote and let him back in?
Although, as you point out the anti-Johnson vote will be split, the LibDems probably represents the ONLY chance that Johnson will be defeated. To defeat Johnson it is necessary to win over former Tory voters, which LibDems can do but Labour under Corbyn definitely can’t.
The sensible thing to do would be for Labour to join in with Unite to Remain and cooperate so that Labour and LibDems are not competing in any given constituency but such is the tribalism and hatred of the LibDems within the Labour party that they would never do that.
On the question of hatred, Labour trolls are constantly burbling on social media about how much the LibDems allegedly hate the Labour party, which they do just before launching into a hate-ridden personal attack on Jo Swinson about her role in the coalition government. Pot calling the kettle black.
