Only 1 in 10 think hereditary peers should continue in the House of Lords
New polling from YouGov shows strong public support for removing the remaining hereditary peers from the House of Lords:
As with many things Lords related, their current presence is a hang-over from a previous interim set of reforms that were never followed up. And Conservative talk of reform has never come to much.
Ironically, the hereditary peers include in their ranks the only people who have to win elections to get into the Lords.
