MP guilty of threatening and harassing woman

The Guardian reports:

An MP has been found guilty of harassment and is expected to face demands to stand down from her seat.

Claudia Webbe, the independent MP for Leicester East, was accused of carrying out a campaign of harassment through unwanted telephone calls against Michelle Merritt, a female friend of her partner…

Webbe, a close ally of Jeremy Corbyn, was elected as Labour MP for Leicester East but had the whip withdrawn after being charged.

Claudia Webbe was also earlier this year found to have broken Parliament’s financial rules.

  1. I stand that some Conservatives have been in ‘trouble’ with misconduct but have only been suspended by the party. Is this one law for Labour come independent) and another for Conservatives?

    • It is sad but it could be true.
Is the UK really reformable ? I doubt it, what’s democratic about FPTP ?
And, there is the problem of too much centralism.
It is best for Wales (my country) and Scotland to proceed with independence:
      This could force change.
If the UK falls apart (USSR) then we have the better larger, better designed, democratic and representative union: The European Union !!!
Now, with membership of the EU do we really need an old centralised UK ?
