The Lib Dem Green Recovery Plan

COP26 could well be our last chance to take substantive action on the climate crisis, and it’s never been more important for Britain to take a leadership role on environmental matters.

The Liberal Democrats have therefore launched a Green Recovery Plan to show what could, and must, be done:

Lib Dem Green Recovery Plan

  1. Good Morning Mark,
Many thanks for the Lib Dem 5 point Green Recovery Plan. It is very good. I very much doubt it is significantly different to that of the Greens and The Labour Party. There are things that we disagree on but the Greens have made a pact with the SNP and they don’t agree on everything. Coalitions are not new and all Libdems are keen on PR so why don’t we have serious discussions with the above parties and be ready to go into the upcoming election with an agreed left of centre candidate. More people didn’t vote for the Conservatives than did at the last election and indeed any election. It is time we got real and we would all win and get rid of these useless Tories. best wishes Hamish

  2. Hi Mark
I seem to be going round in circles with trying to find some in depth information on the Green Plan something wrong with the Link? I would like to read the policy rather than the head lines. Is that possible
    best wishes
    Kate

  3. Thanks Mark but it is a little short on detail. If when out campaigning I am asked about it I at present don’t feel I have enough knowledge about it.
    Kind Regards
    Kate

I’m joining those that find this document thin. On nature restoration for example, it says: ‘Save British Countryside; 4 in 10 British species are in decline and the UK is failing to meet 17 of its 20 biodiversity targets; Liberal Democrats want to restore the UK’s natural environment by cleaning up our waterways, restoring peat bogs and planting trees.’ Can you tell me where to go to find the corresponding details on eg scale, timing, budget or legislation? Thank you.
