Sorry Iain Dale, but it just gets worse and worse for you

As I’ve pointed out, Iain Dale should really have asked a question or two before printing the story he was fed yesterday by the Conservative Party about horrible Lib Dem deeds involving the use of photographs.

Perhaps something along the lines of, “Look, this horrible thing you want me to write about the Liberal Democrats doing in Ealing. Could you just reassure me that as we speak the Conservatives in Ealing aren’t doing exactly the same thing? Because you know, if they are, that might make me look a bit silly?”

On a whim, I’ve just looked at the Conservative Party’s official, national website (www.conservatives.com). And what did I find? Well, let’s just say Iain perhaps should have also asked: “Look, this horrible thing you want me to write about the Liberal Democrats doing in Ealing. Could you just reassure me that as we speak the Conservatives aren’t doing the same thing on their own official national website?”

It takes a little bit of digging to find, but it would be a shame to spoil the fun and post up the direct web link now. I think I might just leave it a while and let someone over at CCHQ frantically search their website for the content they now want to delete…

P.S. More Conservative Party leaflets to add to the other Parliamentary by-election example to come later if I’ve not got bored with this by then. Can you guess what they contain too?
