+++ News from tonight’s Federal Executive

At tonight’s meeting of the Liberal Democrat Federal Executive (FE), Nick Clegg explained his position on the Euro summit, the veto and his decision not to appear in the Commons for today’s debate.

There was a detailed discussion and every FE member backed Nick Clegg’s actions.

UPDATE: Last night also saw a meeting of the Liberal Democrat European Group (LDEG) Executive. It too gave unanimous support to Nick Clegg’s actions.
