Nadine Dorries and the flowers

Richard Reeves, one of Nick Clegg’s Special Advisors, can have a rather wicked sense of humour, as he’s just demonstrated:

Nadine Dorries’ very vocal condemnations of the Lib Dems’ influence on the Coalition have won her many fans among grassroots Tories.

But it looks like she’s also won praise from another quarter: the Lib Dems themselves. They are delighted with her prominent claims that they are acting as a brake on some true blue Tory plans.

After her attacks on the Clegg effect in PMQs a while back  – and this week during the UQ on the Lansley Bill – the Lib Dem strategy chief Richard Reeves has now decided it’s time for a compliment.

I’m told Reeves has sent Nadine a lovely bunch of ‘grey rose’ flowers to her Commons office.
