Congratulations Alison Hopkins – excellent win in Dollis Hill

When in May 2010 there were the last elections in Brent’s three-member Dollis Hill ward, the third-placed Liberal Democrat won by only 27 votes.

This week’s by-election in a ward important to the history of computing was, therefore, likely to be a close-run thing. But Alison Hopkins held the seat for the Liberal Democrats with a majority of 37 on around two-thirds of the 2010 turnout.
