What did Barack Obama get wrong?

Liberal Democrat Voice held its first ever fringe meeting at the party’s Harrogate spring conference. The room was so packed that a wall even had to be taken down by conference centre staff, doubling the space available, so that more people could safely fit in to the room.

I was speaking alongside Ed Davey MP (Chair of the Liberal Democrat Campaigns & Communications Committee), Karin Robinson (Regional Director of the Americans Abroad for Obama campaign in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia) and Jake Rigg (a speechwriter for Barack Obama).

I went for ‘seven things the Obama campaign got wrong’ (and so fairly sure to be talking about things that wouldn’t be covered by the other speakers!).
