MSPs have decided that Scottish Labour Leader Wendy Alexander broke the rules when she failed to declare donations to her leadership campaign.

Meanwhile, it turns out that Cabinet members Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper and both under investigation over their use of the second homes allowance.

Today has also seen the publication of proposals to tighten up the whole expenses system.
