Do you know the fate of the 100 tiny woolly coats made for Scottish birds?
Continuing my series of interesting stories from 1993, it is time to turn to Scotland.
Why were 100 tiny woolly coats for birds caught in the Shetland oil spill rejected by a bird sanctuary?
(a) They were too small to fit the birds,
(b) The sanctuary was worried wearing them might cause the birds to fall over, or
(c) The birds were allergic to wool?
Answer: (b).
