Federal Policy Committee: paperwork safely accepted

Rule #1 of elections is you can’t win if you’re not on the ballot paper. So I’ve done my usual small sigh of relief on receiving confirmation that my nomination for the Federal Policy Committee has been safely accepted.

Ballot papers get sent out to all voting conference representatives on 15th October (one of the reasons why it’s a good idea for local parties to elect a full slate of conference reps even if not all of them are able to go to conference).

If you’d like to find out more about why I’m standing, do take a look at my FPC manifesto. If you like what you see, please do share it with others – and if you’re not so sure, send quizzical questions my way!

  1. Mine also in… alas I'm disenfranchised this time as moving to a new local party over the summer means I've lost federal conference rep status (hopefully only until AGM, if new party see fit to elevate me). Good luck!
