Hansard gems: We have no plans to use the internet

In (partial) fairness to the government department concerned, this featuring minister Tony Newton, Lord President of the Council, is from May 1994:

Mr Newton The Privy Council has no plans to use the internet.

Only partial fairness as it was already several years after the first mention of the internet in Parliament.

The same answer was also given in December 1994.
