Dear David Philips, Really – how hard is it to clear up your dumped estate agents boards?

Dear David Philips,

Alas, my message to you a week ago has resulted in no reply. No response to my email (not even a ‘thank you’ for pointing out the broken contact form on your website) and not even the dumped boards I photographed and sent you all being sorted.

What’s worse, another one has appeared near-by, this time at the junction of Holly Park and Crouch Hill (the northern one of the two junctions):

David Philips estate agent board, Crouch Hill

Ignoring phone calls. Failing to reply to emails. Leaving your property dumped around the area. Come on, I’m sure you can do better than this.

Surely there’s someone with a bit of decency in them who can read this email and realise this isn’t the way to run a business and when you’ve been told about these problems for months now, it’s about time to do something?

Yours in hope,

Mark

UPDATE: A very helpful person from David Philips has been in touch and promised action. One problem seems to have been that the phone number on some of their boards is for a defunct office. It still has a functioning message system on it, so when you ring it, the number appears to be correct and you can leave a message – but those messages aren’t checked.

  1. Are there sanctions of some sort for doing this? In Bunhill estate agents just leave them for residents to remove as a matter of course. Some on tall buildings have been up for years.

  2. Many years ago, when we moved here, the estate agent who sold us the property was very tardy in removing their For Sold board. Eventually April came round and I told them, “Your board is just the right size for displaying a LIb Dem poster, you won’t mind if I do will you?”. The board was gone the next day!

  3. I suppose it’s not legal to paste a “Winning Here” banner across any fallen estate agents’ boards one comes across? 🙂
