Paging Vodafone Customer Services, paging Vodafone Customer Services

If you promise me a call back within two working days, it’d be really nice if you had then actually made the call.

Especially given you’d admitted you had lost my details in your system – but that wasn’t a one-off error, but rather a systematic problem with thousands of your existing phone customers who signed up for a broadband trial.

And more so given I’d pointed out to you how the software you supplied frequently fails to work on a machine with a fresh install of its operating system.

And even more so given I’d pointed out problems with it taking seven or eight minutes to connect to your mobile broadband network in two different parts of London.

Or, of course, you could think that taking seven or eight minutes to connect is fine, hanging software is to be expected, mixing up records is usual and as for returning calls? Well, that’s just for wimps.

  1. They also think that an apppropriate answer to “why does your mail server time out when I’m trying to send emails over your network, and what is the solution?” is “wait until evening and try again when the network’s less busy”…..
