Leadership wins the last crunch vote as 100+ extra votes appear

The big vote of the day at the Liberal Democrat conference in Glasgow on Tuesday was on the future of Trident.

Conference voted by a large margin in favour of reducing Britain’s nuclear deterrent and supporting multilateral disarmament, rather than going immediately down a unilateral route. This was the position the party’s leadership supported.
