European Union funding helps Muswell Hill chippy go green

From London Euro-MP Sarah Ludford’s latest newsletter comes news of a visit to Haringey:

Sarah Ludford and Lynne Featherstone at fish and chips shop in Muswell HillLast Friday I visited Toff’s fish-and-chip shop in Muswell Hill with local MP Lynne Featherstone.

Toff’s has been able to cut its energy consumption and cost dramatically thanks to free advice from EU-funded Global Action Plan.

I’m delighted that European funding has helped deliver real results for local businesses across London, and allowed Toff’s to save money as well as save the planet.

Liberal Democrats as the party of ‘In’ want British businesses to continue to benefit from EU support, not to mention access to the European Single Market on which jobs, trade and investment in London depend.

Of course, another reason to frequent Toff’s is that it (a) has an apostrophe and (b) has it in the right place. Remember to support your grammatically-inclined local shopping outlets.
