The local government communications problem

That poses a tricky problem, especially for those on the elected side of local government – given that elections are for councillors and parties for the council rather than for specific service areas. In the digital world, part of the answer is better online engagement, which means getting away from the idea that “the internet” equals website and a bit of email.
