Double-dose of electoral reform talk in Wales: recall and votes at 16

BBC part 1:

Voters should have the right to throw out their local Assembly Member if they behave improperly, says Welsh Liberal Democrat leader Kirsty Williams.

Ms Williams wants to see a so-called “right of recall” introduced so AMs can be removed between elections.

BBC part 2:

Sixteen-year-olds could be given the vote in a referendum on whether to give Welsh ministers tax-varying powers.

The Welsh government will be given the right to decide the age at which people can vote in such a poll, Wales Office Minister Baroness Randerson [Lib Dem] said.
