Another evening, another dodgy automated call about payment protection insurance, this time from 01196 723 345.
Dodgy as in an automated call made without permission, and therefore illegal unless the result of a genuine mistake. Dodgy also as in the automated message claiming false information and knowledge about the caller, by the looks of it on the off chance that it is played to someone for whom it is true.
Given the dodgy nature of call I would advise staying well clear of doing business with them, and of course it’s always a good more to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner here. The regulator can move a little slowly, but movement happens when there are lots of complaints.
