Read about the peer Baron Pratap Chitnis who for many years was a key behind-the-scenes person in the Liberal Party. This including being the winning election agent for Eric Lubbock in the Orpington Parliamentary by-election in 1962. He was head of the Liberal Party Organisation (LPO) 1966-9.
Pratap Chitnis was made a life peer in 1977 and sat as a crossbencher in the House of Lords.
