Baroness Beatrice Nancy Seear, known as Nancy rather than Beatrice, was one of the Liberal Party’s highest profile female politicians. She was leader of the Liberal Party in the House of Lords 1984-88 and Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords 1988-97.
