    I really like this article. What you of course fail to mention, at all, is that your key three points are also key points to check if you are giving a site the once over for accessibility and usability.

    Both of which are equally important to SEO, and frequently both easier to explain to people and easier to ‘sell’ to reluctant non-techy councillors.

    “The images don’t have alt text which hurts our search engine presence” will get a “so” from many. But “the images don’t have alt text which REALLY HURTS visually impaired and blind users” will frequently get a “ah, ought to work on that then” even from a technophobic luddite.

    Just, y’know, an observation.

    And yes, I really need to write about this stuff a lot more often. Think I promised you an article on it, oh, 18 months ago…
