Promising news from Syria as rebels move HQ into the country
The BBC reports:
The rebel Free Syrian Army (FSA) has announced that it has moved its command centre from Turkey to “liberated areas” inside Syria.
A video posted on YouTube appeared to show the leader of the FSA, Riad al-Asaad, confirming the move.
Given the brutality of the Syrian regime, the best future for Syria comes from it being ousted – which is why the failure of the attempts to introduce a ceasefire may well turn out to have been the best outcome for the country. Keeping Assad in power is not the route to a happy future.
